"Pauline is sleeping", "Sleeping Beauty with Toys" and "Bath Time"·"Pauline durmiendo", "Bella Durmiente con Juguetes" y "Hora del Baño"

Pauline is a lovely 4 years old girl, and she was the main customer in this new project which incidentally started with the request of two pieces that were seen by Pauline's family on my website. I no longer had them because they were already sold. One of these pieces was Lucia that I made for a girl with that name as a gift for her birth. I like these kind of private commissions are also personal. So I decided to do other versions based on the same idea. I sent them sketches of new versions and new ideas. The family chose between them and the winners sketches were converted into this three illustrations that can be seen in this post, and if you click here and here. They are painted on wood, mixing tecniques, using brushes and pencil, and water based paintings.

It was fun. And the fun is not over, a new one is coming, because from now on these illustrations will be the companion in all their adventures to Pauline and the baby who has arrived lately.

Pauline es una adorable niña de 4 años, y fue el cliente principal de este nuevo proyecto. Que por cierto empezó con la petición de dos obras que fueron vistas por su familia en la página web, pero que yo ya no tenía porque ya estaban vendidas. Una de estas obras era Lucía, que hice para una niña con este nombre, como un regalo por su nacimiento.  Me gusta que los encargos de este tipo se mantengan personales. Por lo que preferí hacer otras versiones basadas en la misma idea. Envíe los bocetos de las nuevas versiones y también de nuevas ideas. La familia escogió entre los bocetos, y los ganadores se convirtieron luego en las tres ilustraciones que pueden verse en este post, y si clickas aquí y aquí. Las ilustraciones están pintadas sobre madera, mezclando técnicas, usando pinceles y lápiz y pinturas a base de agua. 

Fue divertido, y la diversión aún no ha acabado, una nueva está por venir. Porque de ahora en adelante estas ilustraciones acompañarán a Pauline y al bebé que ya ha llegado, en todas las nuevas aventuras que vivan en su habitación.
